CONSTITUTION: The control track is constituted of (m) tracks, and (n) sectors are provided on each track, and the sector identifier part ID on which a sector address is recorded and the control field parts (CF1WCFm) recorded on an area equivalent to the data field part of a data recording sector are provided on each sector. Also, the same managing information unit is recorded at every track by positioning at each sector, and the information is rewritten when the information unit is updated. By constitution a device in such way, the readout of the control track is performed in sequence of the retrieval of the leading control track, the readout of the control field part, and the retrieval of an adjacent track, thereby, the readout of the managing information can be performed without waiting rotation.
