When the connecting relation with the preceding and following words is satisfied, The resemblance degree between the candidate words is stored in the matching degree table. The sum of each resemblance degree is obtained as the resemblance degree of the word string and the word of the largest resemblance degree is selected and outputted as a collated result 5. Thus, the word string of the highest reliability can be extracted.
