Then, an operator operates a priority specification part 6 and gives the order of priority. This priority information is then transferred to a priority setting device 7 and the translation words are re-aligned according to the given priority order. After the contents of the data base is modified in this way, and when the same kind of sentence is inputted to the machine translation part 1, the modified contents of the data base are applied to the sentence. In this way, intricacy of processing multivocal words is simplified, and the processing time will be minimized.
