Further, since the motor is interconnected to a fan 18, the speed of the fan 18 is increased or decreased with change of the motor speed, so that air-flow rate is changed with gas-flow rate. Since, with such an arrangement, gas-flow rate can be controlled finely in response to the small change of temperature of hot water supplied, gas-flow rate controlling performance of the water heater can be improved.
