CONSTITUTION: The light quantity information from an image sensor 2 and the output of a mirror integrator 12 are logarithmically compressed at 11 and 13 and then are summed. The output of the integrator 15 is the summation of the multification of the light quantities of the respective elements, which are obtained for each escanning of the sensor 2, and the addresses of the elements. On the other hand the output of the integrator 16 is that corresponding to the sum of the light quantities of the whole picture elements and is logarithmically compressed at 17 so that it is fed to a differential amplifier 18. The output of a logarithimically extending circuit 19 shows the positions of the center of gravities of the light quantities of the subject image and is subjected to sample holding operations at 20 so that the information of the center of gravity of the present and previous scanning operations is fed to a comparator 21. Since the center of gravity of the light quantity of the subject image is varied if there is any relative movement between the image and its background, the output of the comparator 21 indicates the existence of the relative movement
