CONSTITUTION: A fumigating agent comprising a fumigating drug, e.g. a pyrethroid insecticide or an agricultural and industrial germicide, and an organic foaming agent, e.g. an azo compound such as 2,4-bis-(azosulfonyl)toluene, or a hydrazide compound such as benzenesulfonyl hydrazide. The amount of the foaming agent is 1/2W30 times that of the fumigating drug. The foaming agent has a foaming temperature of 300°C or below and will generate nitrogen gas and gaseous carbon dioxide mainly by the thermal decomposition. As a heat source, an electric or chemical heat source may be used.
