CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is an emulsifiable concentrate produced by combining cinnamaldehyde with 0.2W1wt.% of an antioxidant (e.g. vitamin E, n-propyl gallate, BHT and eugenol. Especially, vitamin E has high antioxidant effect.) and preferably an emulsifier (e.g. fatty acid salt and polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) or is a composition produced by supporting cinnamaldehyde and an antioxidant on a carrier. The agent has strong bacteriostatic effect against harmful bacteria in soil, is uninfluential to useful microorganisms, inhibits harmful root-knot nematode and exhibits proliferation promoting effect to harmless nematodes. Agricultural crops can be protected by the use of the composition.
