2 are lower alkyl or lower alkoxy] (e.g. the compound of formula V or formula VI) or its salt useful as a herbicide effective against annual and perennial weeds at a low rate of application, (B) 3,7-dichloro-8-quinolinecarboxylic acid of formula VII useful as a herbicide for cockspur-grass and (C) dymron [=1-(α,α-dimethylbenzyl)-3-(4- methylphenyl)urea] of formula VIII. The composition is useful in agricultural and horticultural field and exhibits excellent effect by the treatment of weeds before or after sprouting.
