CONSTITUTION: The herbicide contains 2-methyl-6-phenyl-5-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1, 2, 4-triazine derivative of the formula (R is methylthio, methoxy group) as an active principle. It has strong effect against grasses in fields such as barnyard grass, manna grass, broad leaf weeds in fields such as rough pigweed or smooth pigweed and annual and prennial weeds in rice paddies such as "tainubie" or monochoria. When it is applied to fields, the herbicide shows strong effect either by soil treatment conducted before budding or by foliage treatment conducted in the growing season. The compound can be directly spread and also used as a wettable powder or emulsion.
