USE: A herbidice. Especially effective against broad leaf weeds and weeds of the family Cyperaceae. Having an improved effect of foliar treatment as well as that of soil treatment. Having high safely to soybeans and cotton. The foliar treatemnt provides no phytotoxicity in any period of growth regardless the amount of the herbicide. The herbicide has no influnece on yield.
PROCESS: A compound shown by the formula II (X is halogen) is reacted with a compound shown by the formula III in the presence of a base (e.g., trimethylamine, triethylamine, tripropylamine, etc.) to give the titled compound shown by the formula I. An amount of the base is not less than equimolar with the compound shown by the formula II, perferably 1W3 times moles.
