1. A METHOD OF CONTROLLING ARTHROPOD PESTS WHICH COMPRISES CONTACTING THE PESTS OR APPLYING TO A SITUS AN EFFECTIVE ANTIARTHROPOD AMOUNT OF AN AR OR AR'' (ALKYLTHIO) BENZOYL CHLORIDE PHENYLHYDRAZONE HAVING THE STRUCTURAL FORMULA:

2. The method according to claim 1 wherein the compounD is p-(methylthio)benzoyl chloride phenylhydrazone.

3. The method according to claim 1 wherein the compound is benzoyl chloride (p-(methylthio)phenyl)hydrazone.

4. The method according to claim 1 wherein n'''' is one and the ''''S-alkyl'''' group is in the para position.

5. The method according to claim 4 wherein n'' is zero.

6. The method according to claim 5 wherein m is zero.

7. The method according to claim 1 wherein the ''''S-alkyl'''' group is methylthio.

8. The method according to claim 7 wherein n'' is zero.

9. The method according to claim 1 further comprising a dispersible diluent carrier.

10. The method according to claim 9 wherein the dispersible diluent carrier is a finely divided pulverulent solid.

11. The method according to claim 9 wherein a surfactant is included.

12. The method according to claim 9 wherein the dispersible diluent carrier is water, and the (alkylthio)benzoyl chloride phenylhydrazone is in finely divided form.

13. The method according to claim 12 wherein a surfactant is included.

14. A formulation comprising a dispersible carrier and an effective anti-arthropodal amount of an ar or ar'' (alkylthio) benzoyl chloride phenylhydrazone having the structural formula:

15. The formulation according to claim 14 further comprising surfactants.

16. The formulation according to claim 15 wherein the dispersible carrier is a finely divided pulverulent solid.

17. The formulation according to claim 15 wherein the dispersible carrier is a liquid.

18. The formulation according to claim 17 wherein the liquid is water.

19. The formulation according to claim 17 wherein the liquid is a water-immiscible solvent for the ar or ar'' (alkylthio) benzoyl chloride phenylhydrazone.

20. The formulation according to claim 15 wherein the ar or ar'' (alkylthio)benzoyl chloride phenylhydrazone is p-(methylthio)benzoyl chloride phenylhydrazone.

21. The formulation according to claim 15 wherein the ar or ar'' (alkylthio) benzoyl chloride phenylhydrazone is benzoyl chloride (p-(methylthio)phenyl)hydrazone.
