Consequently, a cage 4, connected through a rope consisting of carbon fiber, runs in an up or down direction. Here the breaking strength per unit weight of the rope 13 is about 6.87 times that of an iron rope, and a safety factor of the rope is prevented from deteriorating even in a superhigh lift of about 1,300 to 1,500m. Further by lifting a weight 5 by the linear motor 15 to lift the cage 4, operation can be performed by small drive power.
