CONSTITUTION: The sampled process solution S in a cell 12 is pressurized to predetermined pressure and the air bubbles mixed with the solution S are defoamed. Next, the solution S in the cell 12 is held to a pressurized state and the light emitted from a sensor 11 is transmitted to the cell 12 through an optical fiber 13 to be condensed by the condensing lens 12A in the cell 12 and a part of light is absorbed in the solution S. Subsequently, the light transmitted through the solution S is absorbed by the sensor 11 through an optical fiber 14 to be sensed. Since the sensor 11 is provided in a thermostatic tank 15 and the sensor 11 itself is held to set temp. even when the temp. of the open air suddenly changes, a highly accurate measured value is obtained.
