说明书全文

The present invention relates to a foldable chair for the purpose of hunting and leisure, comprising a first and a second frame portion, mutually swingable around a first joint element, whereas a seat is jointably, via a second joint element, connected to the first frame portion and is fixable, with variable positions, by fixing means to the second frame portion, whereas the frame portions may be positioned in a first position with the seat in used position, and a second position with the chair folded together.

Such chairs are known. Until now no such a chair has been known, that may be easily carried by a user when it is not in use.

According to the invention such a chair is primarily characterised in that at the lower side of the seat at least one bow element is provided, able to be positioned at a users shoulder when the chair is folded together.

Different designs are possible, but in one advantageous embodiment of the chair according to the invention two bow elements attached at holders are provided displaceable in a plane substantially parallel to the plane of the seat in order to adjust the distance between the bow elements to the width of the user between the shoulders.

In one further embodiment of the chair according to the invention the two holders are elongated, each of them at both ends formed with joint portions arranged to guide the holders along substantially parallel guide rails provided below the seat in order to adjust the distance between the bow elements to the width of the user between the shoulders.

In one more further preferred embodiment of the chair according to the invention the bow elements are releasably adjustable in relationship to the holders such that the bow elements are adjustable with chosen length and turning angle in relationship to the holders. This may be achieved in different ways, but advantageously each bow element is provided with an elongated opening through which a bolt means may be inserted releasably lockable in order to set said length and said angle.

The fixing means at the second frame portion may designed in different ways, e g as a cylinder embracing the frame portion cooperating with a catch that admits one position for use of the seat. If more variations are desired, the fixing means may be designed with a support gliding embracing the second frame portion via a joint in turnable connection with the seat, whereas the support encloses an inset embracing the second frame portion, which inset is provided with a protrusion, which is movable by a spring means via pressure action between a position, where the protrusion admits the support free movability along the second frame portion and a chosen position, where the protrusion locks the support by cooperation with one of in the second frame portion arranged openings.

The foldable chair according to the invention shall now be described more closely, reference being made to the attached schematic figures, of which:

figure 1
shows a side view of the chair in usage position,

figure 2
shows a front view, inclined from above, of the chair in usage position,

figure 3
shows a front view, inclined from above, of the chair in partly folded position,

figure 4
shows a front view, inclined from above, of the chair in folded position,

figure 5
shows a back view of the folded chair,

figure 6
shows a view, inclined from above, of a holder with a bow element, whilst

figure 7
shows a view, inclined from above of a fixing means with inset.

In the figures a first and a second frame portion are indicated by 1 and 2.

They are mutually swingable around a first joint element 3. A seat 4 is jointably, via a second joint element 5, connected to the first frame portion 1 and is fixable, with variable positions, by fixing means 6 to the second frame portion, whereas the frame portions 1,2 may be positioned in a first position with the seat 4 in used position, and a second position with the chair folded together.

The fixing means may per se be formed like a cylinder, embracing the frame portion 2, which may be provided with a catch against which the cylinder i supported when the chair is in usage position. From figure 7 a preferred design is obvious, that admits a greater choice of sets of the fixing means along the frame portion 2. The fixing means is in this case formed with a support 16 gliding embracing the second frame portion 2 via a joint 17 in turnable connection with the seat 4, whereas the support 16 encloses an inset 18 embracing the second frame portion. This inset is provided with a protrusion 19 provided with a spring means 20, which is movable by movable by a spring means 20 via pressure action between a position, where the protrusion 19 admits the support free movability along the second frame portion 2 and a chosen position, where the protrusion 19 locks the support 16 by cooperation with one of in the second frame portion arranged openings 21.

As is obvious from the figures, especially figures 5 and 6, the bow elements 7 are connected to holders 8, provided displaceable in a plane substantially parallel to the plane of the seat 4 in order to adjust the distance between the bow elements 7 to the width of the user between the shoulders. In this case The two holders 8 are elongated, each of them at both ends formed with upwards bent joint portions 11,12 arranged partly embracing to guide the holders 8 along substantially parallel guide rails 9,10 provided below the seat 4. As is obvious from figure 6 the bow elements 7 are releasably adjustable with chosen length 13 and turning angle α in relationship to the holders. In this case that each bow element 7 is provided with an elongated opening 14 through which a bolt means 15 extending from the holder 8 is inserted releasably lockable in order to set said length and the angle α. The bolt means may be of different types, but a so called carriage bolt with rounded head, inserted from below through an opening in the bow element, and above the holder secured by a wing nut is a practical solution, especially if the surfaces of the holder and the bow element turned towards each other are formed such, that there is a friction between them, whereby the set of the bow elements in relationship to the holders is secured. Also flip joints between holders and bow elements could be considered.

The bow elements may also be designed at least partially elastic in order to adapt to the shoulders of the user.
