| 摘要 | A machine for pulling and lasting a shoe upper has a knurled insole engaging surface on a plate for applying cement to an insole which rocks into insole engagement from a toe-down position after initially engaging a heelward portion of a forepart of the insole. The machine also has grippers adjacent the heelward portion of the insole forepart which grip the upper and then move downwardly to tension the gripped upper over a last, inwardly of the last to draw the upper toward edges of an insole on the last and pivotally of the last to twist and further draw the upper toward the edges of the insole. | ||||||
| 权利要求 | 1. In a machine for forming a shoe upper about a last having an insole positioned on the last, machine elements for applying cement to the insole comprising: means for locating the upper, last and insole in the machine; a generally planar U-shaped plate having a surface initially spaced from the insole for engaging the insole and applying cement to the engaged insole; means for moving said plate to engage the insole with only a portion of the surface of said plate; and means for rocking said plate to engage the insole with the entire surface of said plate. 2. A machine as in claim 1 wherein the moving means comprise a movable shaft supporting the plate for linearly moving the plate and means for tilting the surface of the plate out of alignment with the insole positioned in the machine. 3. A machine as in claim 2 wherein the tilting means are resilient. 4. A machine as in claim 1 wherein the rocking means comprise a domed end of the shaft received in a socket of the plate. 5. In a machine for forming a shoe upper about a last having an insole positioned on the last, a generally planar U-shaped plate for applying cement to the insole comprising: a knurled surface on said plate for engaging the insole, said surface being movable from a position initially spaced from the insole to a position of engagement with the insole; and means in said plate for supplying cement to the surface of said plate. 6. A machine as in claim 5 wherein the knurled surface is a plurality of substantially orthogonal grooves in the surface. 7. In a machine for forming a shoe upper about a last having an insole positioned on the last, a plate for applying cement to the insole comprising: at least one nozzle upstanding on each side of said plate for applying cement to only an outside peripheral margin of said insole at a heelward portion of a forepart of the insole; a surface on said plate for applying cement to common portions of left and right insoles; and means in the plate for supplying cement to said nozzles and said surface. |
