说明书全文 |
Golf can be a messy and dirty sport and often incurs soiling golf club heads particularly when playing in wet and muddy conditions. In such untoward conditions clumps of dirt, grass, sand or other debris left on the golf club head can effect the speed, spin, direction or otherwise negatively impact of the golf ball on the next shot. Golfers and caddies traditionally used a cloth to clean the golf club head. This method has many disadvantages, including ready contamination of the clothes, golf carts, golf clubs and near by persons. There are a number of golf club head cleaning systems. These systems typically include devices with moving parts and cleaning liquids. (U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,872,232; 4,734,952; 3,872,534; 4,464,072; 4,472,851) Among the disadvantages and drawbacks of devices and systems such as these include: the need to carry often bulky and heavy cleaning kits, wasting time on the golf course to stop, set up and implement a cleaning process, negative impact on golf strokes and scores as the debris builds up on the clubs, release of non-biodegradable cleaning solutions on the typically pristine fairways and greens of the golf course. Thus, the prior art has neglected to provide a facile environmentally clean and readily accessible system for cleaning golf clubs on the greens and fairways that maximizes the golfer's performance The invention is a portable golf club head cleaner that is attached to footwear as shown in The connecting unit, The golfer and caddie holds the golf club by the shaft and runs the head of the golf club over the cleaning unit to dislodge dirt, mud, grass, sand and other debris. This provides the advantage of being able to quickly clean the golf club head without having to get dirty or the need for mechanical devises. The preferred embodiment of the invention as described above provides just one potential prototype. However, multiple other embodiments are contemplated herein. These include but are not limited to, a system wherein a cleaning unit comprises a rough surface, bristles, cloth, natural brush, synthetic brush and carpet type material. These include but are not limited to, a system wherein a strap comprises of Velcro, leather, plastic material and elastics. These include but are not limited to, a system wherein a connecting unit comprises of plastic material, metal, cloth and wood. |
