| 摘要 | PURPOSE: To perform a scientific and economical measurement of sizes of articles of clothing, by a method wherein shape-holding segments, provided with a sensor for detecting a contact pressure with an article of clothing at the forward end thereof, are aligned at each part of a basic body. CONSTITUTION: A measuring dummy 1 consists of a shoulder part 3, a breast part 4, a trunk part 5, a waist part 6 and other parts to form a basic body 2 imitating the body. Shape holding segments 3aW6a formed in the shape of a curved line and curved surface are located in each part of the basic body 2 so that they can freely be driven in a direction in which they come in and out by means of a protruding piece 7 and a miniaturized motor 8. A sensor 9 for detecting a contact pressure with an article of clothing is installed to each of the shape holding segments 3aW6a. An article of clothing 13 is attached to the dummy 1, the motor 8 is run by a controller 10, and the motor 8 is caused to stop running at a time when the sensor 9 makes contact with the article of clothing 13 to indicate (12) the measurements through the working of a computing processor 11. This enables to perform an economical measurement and a measurement of sizes of all body forms by means of a single device, which results in performing an economical measurement.
