| 摘要 | This invention features a hairpiece to be used as an alternative to wigs. It was designed as an alternative to wigs to help breast cancer patients and others who lost their hair due to disease. The hairpiece is made up a flexible headband with synthetic hair attached. The hair is attached with a hot glue gun from the top of the headband. The front forehead section is left open for comfort. The exposed forehead portion measures from temple to temple; about 4.5 inches in length. The hair is shipped 14″ in length. It can be worn with any hat or scarf. | 说明书全文 | A hairpiece called Cam-it was designed to be used as an alternative to wigs. FIG. A1 depicts the invention entitled Cam-it. It displays the headband with synthetic hair attached. A hairpiece called Cam-it was designed to be used as an alternative to wigs during the inventor's struggle with cancer. The invention uses two products: 1) A Cloth Headband, which is normally used to pull hair back off the face and 2) Synthetic Hair Extensions, which are used to extend hair from a short hairstyle to medium- or long-hairstyle by Hair Salons. The inventor chose a cloth headband for this invention instead of a hard headband for comfort. The inventor tried wigs and searched for other products that would be more comfortable however, none worked or existed. This is why Cam-it was designed for that comfort because when hair is lost directly from the root products that are hard or rough to the touch feel strange against the skin. The hairpiece was designed to have the headband worn in a circular fashion around the head and the synthetic hair extensions attached with hot glue to the headband in a circular fashion also starting from one temple point to the other temple point. A portion of the headband on the forehead about 4.5 inches in length is left exposed. The exposed portion was designed also for comfort plus it makes the hairpiece look more natural under a hat or scarf. The synthetic hair extensions were chosen over human hair extensions because of cost. When it comes to hygiene Cam-it can be washed also cut, blow-dried as well as worn curling or straight. The inventor wore this product throughout her chemotherapy treatments for almost a year.
