摘要 | A jacket having two sleeves and at least one outside breast pocket further having a cuff-less sleeve end consisting of a hemmed finish; a cuff-less waist consisting of a hemmed finish; and an inside breast pocket inside the jacket sharing the same outline as the outside breast pocket, whereby the jacket provides a fitted and shorter fit around the sleeves and waistband without the use of a cuff fastening means, and whereby securing means securing the inside pocket are not visible on the outside of the jacket because they share the same outline. A method of making the jacket of the present invention has the steps of removing the sleeves cuffs from the sleeve ends; hemming the sleeve ends; removing the waistband cuff from the jacket waist; and hemming the waist, whereby the sleeves are shorter and fitted without the use of securing means. | ||||||

说明书全文 | 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates generally to clothing, particularly jackets. 2. Description of the Prior Art The denim jacket is well known to be both useful and casually fashionable. They are worn by many people and many kinds of people. Naturally, one jacket design does not suit all wearers. However, there is only one denim jacket design. That design has cuffed sleeves and waistband. The sleeve cuffs and waistband must also be buttoned to be fitted. A fitted jacket is very comfortable to wear. However, buttons can be very difficult to you for children, disabled people, and seniors. Buttoning the sleeves is necessarily done with one hand, and is extremely difficult, even for the able. Therefore, what is needed is a fitted denim jacket that does not require sleeve or waistband buttons to be secured. It is an object of the present invention to provide a jacket and method of making that does not require button or other securing means to be fitted. The present invention achieves these and other objectives by providing a jacket with hemmed sleeve ends and waistband. Furthermore, inside breast pockets are provided having outlines aligned with the stitching of the outside breast pockets. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following description and drawings. The preferred embodiment(s) of the present invention is illustrated in As used in this specification and in the claims, “cuff” means a folded over cloth that terminates a sleeve or waist part of a jacket and is at least one inch in length. Although “hems” are also folded over, they are less than one inch in length. Details of the hemmed finishes 102 of the sleeve ends and waist are shown in the cross section The waistband cuff is removed 208. This step can be performed concurrently with hemming the waist 212. Then, one or more inside breast pockets can be sewn into the jacket 214 along the same outline as the respective outside breast pocket such that the stitching for the inside pocket is aligned with the stitching for the outside pocket. The benefits of removing the cuffs from the waist and sleeves include a resulting product that is more aesthetically appealing. Removing the cuff from the sleeves also makes the jacket much easier to put on. Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described herein, the above description is merely illustrative. Further modification of the invention herein disclosed will occur to those skilled in the respective arts and all such modifications are deemed to be within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims. |
