The invention concerns a clock movement with dead second indicator (20) moving one step per second driving, from an escapement wheel (12) performing n jumps per second, by a second pinion (16), and intermediate setting wheel (17) and a dead second pinion (18) integral with a dead second wheel (19) and with the dead second indicator (20). The teeth (25) of the dead second wheel (18) co-operates with an asymmetric jumper (29) configured such that upon the first of the n jumps of the escapement wheel, the asymmetric jumper moves from an idle position past the next tooth of the gear teeth (25) and is immediately at the next idle position under the effect of a spring (28) of the jumper by a sufficient angular play of the gears. During the next n-1 jumps of the escapement wheel (12), the gear play is gradually overtaken and the dead second indicator (20) remains stationary. The invention provides a high-precision dead second indicator of simple design and shock-proof. |
