PURPOSE:To prevent perfectly faulty extraction by a method wherein connection between an extractor pawl and a cartridge is intercepted upon firing to avoid the propagation of strong shock generated on the cartridge to a cartridge extractor while a carrier is recoiled after finishing the firing to hook a rim. CONSTITUTION:When a cartridge extractor 4 is closed, an operating projection 11 is abutted against the peripheral surface of a bolt receiving hole 3 to restrict the pivoting of the extractor and connection between both of an extractor pawl 13 and a rim 15 is intercepted without hooking the rim 15 by the pawl 13 and, therefore, shock generated on a cartridge 14 upon firing will never be propagated. When firing is effected, a carrier 2 is recoiled individually by the effect of a gas pressure by a stroke shown by L2 in a diagram to provide a predetermined time lag from the firing to the release of the closing of a bold in order to prevent a danger that the closing is released under a condition that a bore pressure is high. Thereafter, the carrier 2 is recoiled further individually by a predetermined stroke, the bolt 1 is pivoted by the operation of a cam groove and a cam pin to release the closing and, thereafter, the bolt 1 is hooked by the carrier 2 while both of them are recoiled integrally whereby the cartridge 14, hooked by the cartridge extractor pawl 13, is extracted from a chamber 16 surely and is kicked out by a kicker 8. |
