摘要 The invention relates to a method for controlling the valve of a rotary piston steam engine comprising an annular chamber, and two pistons (4, 6; 4a, 4b, 6a, 6b) rotating in the chamber independently from each other, with spaces therebetween, operating alternately as working spaces (7; 7a, 7b) or discharge spaces (8; 8a, 8b) in successive partial cycles. Said steam engine also comprises pairs of openings respectively consisting of a steam supply opening (27, 29, 31) and a ventilation opening (28, 30, 32) and connecting the chamber to the outer side, said openings defining, by the positions thereof, the initial angular positions of the partial cycles. The steam engine further comprises an electronic control unit that actuates the valves respectively associated with one of the openings, in such a way that steam is supplied to at least one working space in each partial cycle, and at least one discharge space is deaerated. The invention is characterised in that sensors scanning optical and/or magnetic markings are provided for the continuous detection of movement parameters of the rotary piston steam engine, the control unit determining the times, on the basis of the starting signals from the sensors, at which the steam supply to the working space or the dearation of the discharge space begins and ends.
