PURPOSE: A 25m-target conveying apparatus is provided to improve the convenience of use and to expand the life span thereof by automatically conveying the 25m-target by using a micro-controller. CONSTITUTION: A distance for conveying a target is selected by a user. Then, a start switch of a target conveying apparatus is turned-on. Thus, a current is applied to a circuit so that the target is moved in a forward or a backward direction. The user reduces the speed of the target when the target reaches a predetermined distance before the target reaches the selected position. When the target reaches the selected position, the operation of the circuit is stopped so that the current applied to the circuit is shut-off. Then, the user again pushes the start switch so that the current is again applied to the circuit, thereby moving the target in a reverse direction. |

PURPOSE: A 10m target conveying apparatus is provided to improve the convenience of use and increase the endurance of a shooting equipment by easily conveying a shooting target using a micro controller. CONSTITUTION: A power is supplied when a user pushes an operating switch. At this time, the operation starting state is alarmed by JP1 for connecting a button and a lamp. Then, a motor is operated after reading a software state using U1 and a current value is checked so as to determine whether the shooting target reaches a destination. If the shooting target does not reach the destination, a circuit is operated to move the shooting target forward and backward directions. The operation of the circuit is stopped when the user pushes the switch one more. At this time, the current flow in the circuit is automatically shut down. In this state, when the user pushes the switch one more, the current flow is regenerated so that the shooting target is moved forward or backward in reverse direction. |

Targets, target systems, and related methods are provided. The targets can provide non-electric or low electric dynamic imagery and/or thermal signature capabilities that can be used in target systems. For example, a target can include a substrate forming a target body and having a front side. A combined image is disposed on the front side of the substrate with the combined image including a combination of at least two primary images of a potential target provided through lenticular printing. A lenticular lens can be disposed over the combined image so that the combined image and the lenticular lens generate an observed image of the potential target body when viewed by an observer. Additionally or alternatively, a target can be provided that includes a substrate forming a target body and at least one substance disposed on the substrate configured to create a thermal signature mimicking a potential target. |

The invention provides a target device comprising a board-like target member and a housing of low height that serves as a stand for supporting the target member in an upright position of use and encloses it when it is in a horizontal protected position with its front face down and its lower end near a rear wall of the housing. An elongated guiding device near the bottom of the housing, extending from near its front wall to near its rear wall, confines the lower end of the target board to back and forth motion. The front face of the target board at all times engages a sliding support on the front of the housing, spaced above the front end portion of the guiding device, so that back and forth movement of the lower end of the target board is attended by swinging of its upper end as it moves between its positions. |

A computer controlled automatic target system is disclosed which may be implemented on a fixed range or selectively deployed in the field. The fixed range system utilizes land line connections to the target and hit sensor assemblies. The portable field control embodiment incorporates a radio adapter unit which provides a two-way telemetry link between the control console and the target and hit sensor assemblies. The targets are provided with a fixed base or a disk-shaped sled. The targets utilizing the sled are adapted to be pulled across the terrain by a winch system. Both target mounting systems incorporate a base shield adapted to protect the target control and hit sensor assemblies. The hit sensor subsystem registers hits by ammunition or laser beam. Data from the hit sensor and control of the target silhouette between an up or down position is accomplished via communication links between the targets and the control console. |

In the operation of a firing range having targets, the visibility of which is controlled by remotely operated means, firing commands are recorded on one track of a tape passing through the recording head of a dual channel tape recording and playback machine. A synchronizer is connected with the other channel of the tape machine and that device generates inaudible target signals which are recorded on the other track of the tape in properly timed relation to the firing commands. When the tape is rewound and played back, the firing commands are reproduced through a speaker connected with the tape machine, while the reproduced target signals are directed to the synchronizer which closes an electrical circuit upon receipt of them. The coil of a relay switch is in the electrical circuit, and the remotely operated means are in circuit with the relay switch. Hence, when a target signal is received at the synchronizer, the remotely operated means is energized and the visibility of the target is increased, thus enabling the user of the range to sight upon and fire at the target upon receipt of and in proper sequence with the audible firing commands.

A coin operated dart game wherein darts are propelled into piercing contact with a target assembly having a scoring register for accumulating the results of the areas of the target assembly penetrated by the darts. The target apparatus is located behind a fixed screen member and is supported on a carriage for cyclic movement by an electric motor from a forward dart receiving position to a rearward dart removing position, with the motor being cyclically driven in response to a dart penetrating the target apparatus. A collector is operatively associated with the dart game for collecting the removed darts in a container, with the container being operated from a dart storing position to a dart dispensing position in response to operation of a coin deposit.
