Es wird ein Münzprüfer mit einem Fadensensor, der im Bereich des Münzeinwurfkanals angeordnet ist, und einer Münzprüfeinrichtung zur Steuerung der Annahme oder Abweisung einer eingeworfenen Münze vorgeschlagen. Der Fadensensor weist eine erste, an einem feststehenden Teil des Münzeinwurfkanals angeordnete Verzahnung und eine zweite an einem Pendel angeordnete Verzahnung, die bei Einwurf einer Münze ausser Eingriff kommen, sowie eine mit dem Pendel in Wirkverbindung stehende Schaltvorrichtung auf, die bei Einwurf einer Münze ein Signal an die Münzprüfeinrichtung abgibt. Das Pendel ist Bestandteil eines Münzeinwurftrichters (4), der als Verschleissteil lösbar mit dem Gehaüse des münzprüfers verbunden ist und Teil des Münzeinwurfkanals bildet. Daher ist der Schwenkpunkt des an dem übrigen Teil des Münzeinwurftrichters angelenkten Pendels im Querschnitt gesehen seitlich zu der ersten und zweiten Verzahnung versetzt, derart, dass die zweite Verzahnung in Einwurfrichtung der Münze bogenförmig nach unten ausser Eingriff zu der ersten Verzahnung kommt bzw. die zweite Verzahnung bogenförmig von unten in die erste Verahnung eingreift.

A coin discriminating device which provides for positive transport of coins past a sensor is provided. In one embodiment, a rotating disk (216), slightly inclined to the vertical, includes a plurality of pockets (224a-2241) for receiving coins from a hopper bowl (212). The disk and bowl are configured to efficiently load the pockets with no more than one coin per pocket. As the disk rotates, the coins, which are thus registered in a desired location in the pockets, are transported by the rotating disk past a sensor (312). When, based on the sensor data, the item in a pocket is recognized as an acceptable coin, a controllable ramp (322) is lowered to divert the coin out of the pocket and into a path to place the coin in an acceptance bin or bag.

본고안은주화(鑄貨)를투입하여작동되도록한 자동판매기나오락기등등(이하주화투입용기기라함)에설치되어, 설정된금액의주화를인식하여주화투입용기기를작동시킬수 있도록한 주화인식장치에관한것이다. 종래의주화인식장치는주화투입구내에설정된주화의지름과두께의일치하는크기의홈을만들어크기로서주화를인식토록한 것과설정된주화의무게로서주화를인식토록한 것이제안되었는바, 전자의경우에는홈의지름및 두께가설정된주화의지름및 두께와같거나약간큰 정도로형성되므로서약간만변형된주화가투입되더라도작동이불가능하게되므로서기기의고장원인이되었음은물론, 홈의크기와일치되는물체를투입하더라도이를설정된금액으로인식하게되므로서주화의크기와일치되는다양한유형(예로서, 플라스틱원판, 엽전, 환전이불가능한외국주화등등)의물체를투입하여주화투입용기기를조작하게되는부정사용의경우가빈번히발생되었으며, 후자의경우역시설정된주화의무게와일치되기만하면기기가작동되도록구성되므로서부정사용의경우가빈번히발생되는문제점이있었던것이다. 본고안은설정된금액의주화를확실히인식할수 있도록함과동시에어느정도변형된주화까지도수용이가능토록하여주화투입용기기의부정사용및 고장발생을방지할수 있도록한 것이다.

A coin validator with an improved coin processing rate, performs primary validation testing on coins (3) at a primary validation station (5) as successive coins roll down a coin rundown path (4). Unacceptable coins pass to a coin reject path (12) but coins found acceptable by the primary validation testing are deflected by a solenoid operated gate (11) to a coin accept path (13). The acceptable coins pass a further sensor coil (C4). Auxiliary coin testing is carried out by a microprocessor (7) by analysing the time taken for the coin to reach and move away from the further sensor (C4). The microprocessor performs undertimer and overtimer routines (figures 3A, B) and if the coin arrives within the under and overtimer ranges (t1, t2), the coin is accepted. When the coin throughput rate is increased, the undertimer is switched off in order to permit the coin throughput rate for valid coins to be increased, without loss of security.
