81 SYSTEM TO MANUALLY INITIATE AN EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN TEST AND COLLECT DIAGNOSTIC DATA IN A PROCESS CONTROL ENVIRONMENT PCT/US2002/010790 2002-04-05 WO2002082193A2 2002-10-17 SNOWBARGER, Jimmie, Lee; ALI, Riyaz, M.

An emergency shutdown test, wherein the emergency shutdown test system includes an emergency shutdown device controller and sensors to provide data to the controller. The emergency shutdown device controller has a processor, a memory coupled to the processor and an auxiliary input couple to the processor, wherein an emergency shutdown test is stored in the memory, and the auxiliary input is adapted to receive a binary signal and sensor data. A first routine is stored in the memory and is adapted to be executed on the processor to cause the emergency shutdown test to be performed in response to the receipt of the binary signal at the auxiliary input. The memory is also adapted to store a second routine, wherein the second routine is adapted to be executed on the processor to cause sensor data to be recorded in the memory during the emergency shutdown test. The processor compares a plurality of predetermined limits to the received sensor data to determine if the valve is fully operational or if possible problems exist.

86 Method for displaying pressure of foam molding step and its foam molding machine JP9667698 1998-03-24 JPH11268143A 1999-10-05 FUJIOKA KATSUNORI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily resolve a fault occurring case during molding by storing detected pressure data of a pressure in a mold in a foam molding step, and arbitrarily visually displaying the data, thereby simplifying a preparation of setting conditions of a newly mounted mold. SOLUTION: Pressure detectors 4a, 4b are respectively connected to drain pipings 20a, 20b coincident with vapor pressures in vapor chambers 2a, 2b to detect its pressure P", converts it to an analog signal P', and sends it to an analog input interface 17d of a controller cont. Its digitally converted value P is output to a comparison processor 17f and a memory 17b via an A/D data converter 17e. The processor 17f comparison calculates an output value 6 from the converter 17c with an output value P of the converter 17e to correspond mold vapor pressure data from the detectors 4a, 4b to the value 3q from the memory 17b. Thus, the value P is stored in the memory 17b, and called and displayed on a display unit 24 as needed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate the operation for data restoration by operator by specifying the omission period of stored data in a storage device when one of plural storage devices is re-started after an abnormality stop, calling data in the omission period from another storage device and restoring an omitted part. SOLUTION: Collected process data are stored in the logging files 3 and 4 of two systems of database stations 1 and 2 in duplex with each other. When the station 1 which has abnormally stopped, is re-started, the omission period in respective pieces of stored data is specified based on a last storing time in the management file of the logging file 3 and data in the omission period is called from the station 2 so as to restore the omitted part. 88 Fault diagnostic device JP24729295 1995-09-26 JPH0991037A 1997-04-04 SHIMIZU YUJIRO; NISHIZAKI HIROMASA
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a diagnostic method suitable for either of a fault tree diagnostic method and a CDM diagnostic method at each alarm and to seek a cause by using a fault tree format even in the case of the CDM diagnostic method. SOLUTION: Fault information from a plant 1 is sent to a diagnostic device 10 and inputted to a knowledge selecting means 11. The means 11 judges whether fault diagnosis using a fault tree is to be executed or fault diagnosis based upon a CDM is to be executed based upon the fault information and starts a fault tree diagnostic means 12 or a CDM diagnostic means 21. When the means 12 is started, fault diagnosis is executed by referring to fault tree diagnostic knowledge 13 and its diagnostic result is displayed on a display means 14. When the means 21 is started, fault diagnosis is executed by referring to CDM diagnostic knowledge 22 and its diagnostic result is outputted to a fault tree conversion means 23. The means 23 converts a CDM diagnostic process into a fault tree format and displays the converted result on the display means 14.
89 Field bus type control system JP23440795 1995-09-12 JPH0981201A 1997-03-28 YONEOKA TOSHIHIKO
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a state capable of continuing the operation of a plant by continuing basic control even when a field bus is cut off. SOLUTION: When a field bus 13 for mutually connecting a sensor part 10-1, an operation end part 12-1 and a controller part 11-1 is cut off, an object signal Q sent from a controller 2-1 is held in an object value holding part 21, the held object signal Q is transferred to a simple control part 22 and an operation signal Ma is outputted to an operation end 3-1 so that a detection signal P outputted from the sensor part 10-1 becomes the signal Q to continue simple control.

94 Controlling system for automatic hot water supply JP29273390 1990-10-29 JPH04165258A 1992-06-11 NAKAHARA YASUHIRO; KAKEYA NOBUKAZU; MINAMI TAKAYUKI
PURPOSE: To prevent a hot water supply system from supplying hot water wastefully or at a higher temperature than a prescribed point by a method wherein, when a sign of trouble or abnormality has been detected while the automatic hot water supply is operating, the system stops the automatic supply of hot water and indicates the description, cause, or the like of the trouble. CONSTITUTION: When a component of an automatic hot water supply part 1, for example, a temperature sensor in the body of an electric water heater, has started malfunctioning during operation of the automatic hot water supply, a preliminarily set error code in two digits denoting the description and location of the malfunction, coded by a display logic, is lighted on and off by means of a seven-segment LED 14 on a main remote control 3. When the detective function has found the draining plug of the bathtub loose during operation of the automatic hot water supply, a signal indicating a loose plug is given by off-and-on lighting of the lowest LED in a six- graduation series of bathwater level-indicating LED's 11. When the detective function has found the temperature of the water in the bathtub to be extraordinarily high above a prescribed point during operation of the automatic hot water supply, a signal indicating extraordinarily hot bathwater is given by off-and-on lighting of the seven- segment LED 14 in an H-shaped illumination on the main remote control 3.
