CONSTITUTION: UF6 gas supplied into a long drum 1 through an inlet port 2 is condensed and collected by a cooling medium flowing through a passage T and the exhaust gas is discharged out from the outlet port 3. the passage 4 is arranged on the periphery of the drum 1 thereby eliminating the need for large diameter of the drum 1. In addition, the gas passage is secured along a heating apparatus 7 so that the whole length of the drum 1 can serve as a collecting area. Accordingly, the collecting efficiency and the volumetric effieiency can be improved. When UF6 gas containing more than 1% U235 is condensed, the mass grows radially and reaches the critical point. In this trap, the UF6 gas is allowed to flow along the heating apparatus 7 so that the mass grows longitudinally, thus maintained free from critical condition and safe.
