A beam of light having the energy larger than the energy of the above-mentioned band gap is made to irradiate, the above-mentioned metal ions are reduction-precipitated on the surface of the magnetic powder, and a non-magnetic metal layer is formed. Au, Ag, Pd, Rh, Pt, Ru, Os, Ir, Cu and the like can be used as the above-mentioned metal, but the use of Cu is desirable taking into consideration of economization.
