A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder comprising: a receptacle adapted to contain a quantity of the cosmetic powder, a cap for said receptacle, said cap having a wand, means for mounting said cap in said receptacle with said wand extending into said receptacle and into said cosmetic powder, an applicator tip at the lower end of said wand, and cooperative vibratory means on said receptacle and on said wand responsive to longitudinal withdrawal of said wand from said receptacle to agitate said wand when said cap is removed from said receptacle as said wand is extracted from said cosmetic powder. 2. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 1, wherein said cooperative means comprises portions coengageable to effect opposite lateral oscillations of said wand. 3. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder comprising: a receptacle adapted to contain a quantity of the cosmetic powder, a cap for said receptacle, said cap having a wand, means for mounting said cap in said receptacle with said wand extending into said receptacle and into said cosmetic powder, an applicator tip at the lower end of said wand, and cooperative means on said receptacle and on said wand for agitating said wand when said cap is removed from said receptacle as said wand is extracted from said cosmetic powder, wherein said cooperative means comprises a succession of alternate ridges and valleys formed on said wand, and abutment means on said receptacle engageable with said ridges to move said wand laterally as said wand is extracted. 4. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 3, and means for moving said wand laterally in the opposite direction when successive ridges pass said abutment means. 5. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder comprising: a receptacle adapted to contain a quantity of the cosmetic powder, a cap for said receptacle, said cap having a wand, means for mounting said cap in said receptacle with said wand extending into said receptacle and into said cosmetic powder, an applicator tip at the lower end of said wand, and cooperative means on said receptacle and on said wand for agitating said wand when said cap is removed from said receptacle as said wand is extracted from said cosmetic powder, wherein said cooperative means comprises a succession of alternate ridges and valleys on one of said receptacle and said wand, and abutment means on the other of said receptacle and said wand engageable with said ridges to move said wand laterally as said wand is extracted. 6. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 5, and means for moving said wand laterally in the opposite direction as said ridges and abutment pass. 7. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder comprising: a receptacle adapted to contain a quantity of the cosmetic powder, a cap for said receptacle, said cap having a wand, means for mounting said cap in said receptacle with said wand extending into said receptacle and into said cosmetic powder, an applicator tip at the lower end of said wand, and cooperative means on said receptacle and on said wand for agitating said wand when said cap is removed from said receptacle as said wand is extracted from said cosmetic powder, wherein said cooperative means comprises a succession of alternate ridges and valleys on opposite side of said wand, said ridges and valleys at opposite sides of said wand being staggered with the ridges on one side opposed to the valleys on the other side of said wand, and abutment means on said receptacle and said wand engageable with said ridges successively at opposite Sides of said wand to move said wand laterally. 8. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder comprising: a receptacle adapted to contain a quantity of the cosmetic powder, a cap for said receptacle, said cap having a wand, means for mounting said cap in said receptacle with said wand extending into said receptacle and into said cosmetic powder, and applicator tip at the lower end of said wand, and cooperative means on said receptacle and on said wand for agitating said wand when said cap is removed from said receptacle as said wand is extracted from said cosmetic powder, wherein said cooperative means comprises a plurality of interrupted ridge segments on one of said wand and said receptacle, and abutment means on the other of said wand and said receptacle engageable with successive ridge segments. 9. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 8, said ridge segments being spaced longitudinally of said wand, and said abutment means being on said receptacle. 10. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 3, said abutment means including a spring finger having a tip normally biased into said valleys. 11. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 3, said abutment means comprising a shoulder on said body. 12. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 7, said abutment means including spring fingers at opposite sides of said wand and having tips engageable with successive ridges at opposite sides of said wand to oscillate said wand. 13. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 7, said abutment means including spring fingers at opposite sides of said wand and having tips engageable with successive ridges at opposite sides of said wand to oscillate said wand, said fingers being integral with a support ring, and means mounting said support ring in said receptacle. 14. A receptacle and applicator for cosmetic powder as defined in claim 7, said abutment means comprising a ring on said receptacle surrounding said wand. |
