41 Improved structure for handling a tool EP13195154.3 2013-11-29 EP2878185A1 2015-06-03 Balestrieri, Rita

A tool structure (100) comprises a rod (110) and a working head (120). The rod (110) has a first end (111) and a second end (112) located at a predetermined distance x. The working head (120) has a mass m1 and is engaged at the first end (111) of the rod (110). The tool structure (100) provides furthermore a stiff elongated element (130) integral to the rod (110) at the second end (112). A balancing body (140) is moreover provided having mass m2 and constrained to the stiff elongated element (130) at a predetermined position H located at a predetermined distance y from the second end (112) of the rod (120). In this way, considering a pivot point P located at the second end (112) of the rod (120), the moments M1 and M2 produced by, respectively, the masses m1 and m2 with respect to the pivot point P oppose each others.

47 SHOCK-ABSORBING TOOL HANDLE EP97921267 1997-04-16 EP0907468A4 2004-10-20 JACOBS PAUL J; SHAUD RONALD J
A shock-absorbing telescoping tool handle (2) is disclosed having tubular, larger diameter proximal and a smaller diameter distal portions (4, 6). An internal spring (14) between the handle portion is compressed when the handle portions telescope toward each other. Guide mechanism (26, 28) in the handle portions limits the extent of sliding motion between the handle portions and prevents relative rotation of the handle portions. One or more wipers (40) in the handle portion wipes away any snow, water or debris on the distal portion which could potentially enter the spring area.

A cutting attachment rotary edgers having a planar base and a plurality of cutting fins or evacuating blades that extend outward from an outboard side of the base. A plurality of teeth are formed along a peripheral edge of the base and are defined in part by leading edges which face a direction of rotation. The cutting fins extend outwardly from the base at an acute angle so that distal ends thereof are angled in a direction opposite of the direction of rotation. The cutting fins are also spaced apart from the leading edges of the teeth of the base. The cutting fins are further attached along bases thereof at acute angles with respect to the leading edges of the teeth of the base so that radially outermost ends of the bases of the cutting fins are spaced further from the leading edges of the teeth than inner most ends of the bases of the cutting fins.
