The cell laminated bodies 3 together with the closed containers 9 are pinched between end plates 4, and the whole stack is tightened through assembly bolts 5, then each cell of the cell laminated body 3 is depressed in contact with the wall surface of the flexible closed containers 9 and a uniform surface pressure is applied to the electrode surface of the unit cells 1. The heat generated on the cell during an operation is extracted outside by the cooling pipe 10 through the liquid sealed in the closed containers 9.
