CONSTITUTION: The mixer 6 is installed on the piping 2 in the entrance side of the heat exchanger and the eliminator 7 is provided to the exit side piping 3. Ca
2+ system substances such as CaO, Ca(OH)
2 and CaCl
2 are put in the mixer 6 together with acid or alkali to adjust the pH value of the geothermal hot-water WH. In this way, a silica component is separated from the hot-water in the eliminator 7 as a calcium salt and a harmful component such as arsenic is absorbed by the calcium salt and removed from the hot-water. Accordingly corrosion of the piping, attachement of scales and plugging of the piping can be prevented, and a clean heating source without harmful materials can be obtained.
