CONSTITUTION: An unmanned carrier 1 receives a branch command from a ground controller and travels at a high speed toward an arrow head along a guide line 14a. When a magnet sensor 12' attached to the carrier 1 detects a magnet 15b, the output signals delivered from the pulse encoders attached to the traveled distance measuring wheels 10 and 10' are reset. Then the traveled distance of the carrier 1 is measured with the magnet 15b defined as a starting point. Then the carrier 1 traveled by a prescribed distance along the line 14a starts an arc drive with the curvature given from the ground controller.
