161 Safety valve and built-in pipe fitting part JP29787189 1989-11-16 JPH03157595A 1991-07-05 MOTOHARA YASUHISA
PURPOSE: To miniaturize it installably in the inner part of a joint by providing a valve body in contact with a valve seat installed in a fluid circuit and a seal member, closing an outlet of a fluid passage, both in the valve body, and exhausting a fluid at the side of high pressure by way of a fluid exhaust passage after the valve seat part is closed when the fluid circuit is interrupted. CONSTITUTION: A safety valve consists of a valve body and an O-ring 26 attached to the outer circumference. This valve body is composed of a stepped cylindrical guide part 51, a disklike contact part 52, a cylindrical sealant setting part 56, a cylindrical projecting part 58. A joint is constituted of a nipple 10 and a coupler 30, and the safety valve 50 opening or closing a flow passage is installed in the inner part. This valve 50 comes into contact with a valve seat 17 in a nipple body 11, closing the flow passage, and it is sealed by another O-ring 18, so that it is able to open or close a fluid exhaust passage by dint of a pressure differential between ports of this exhaust passage being produced at time of something trouble. 162 Unit-dosing nipple US644951 1975-12-29 US4078566A 1978-03-14 Joseph J. Urban, Jr.
A medicinal container with a general shape of a "nipple" or "pacifier" constructed in such a manner that a chamber is formed, said chamber serving as a reservoir for a liquid, oleaginous, semi-solid, or solid medicament or vacuum completely protected by the members of the device from the external environment and in which case, when said device contains a vacuum in said chamber said device must be constructed in a vacuum or subject to vacuum prior to completion of construction and said device containing said vacuum is then to be delivered to an intermediate, such as a pharmacist, for installation of a specific dose of a medicament into said chamber of said device, said installation being accomplished by use of a syringe with needle by inserting said needle through self-sealing injection-port present on said device, but, in any case, when said device is received by the end-user or consumer it contains a medicament, said medicament being isolated from the external environment from the time it is instilled into the device until the device is manipulated to expose two cavities or holes, one hole in the tip of the nipple allowing the medicament to be sucked into the mouth of an infant, child or animal user by the sucking action of the user and the second cavity or hole on the upper portion of the base, opposite the first hole, allowing air to enter the chamber to facilitate the flow of the medicament through the hole in the tip of the nipple as the user exerts sucking action on said nipple.

164 Nursing bottle containing water for milk preparation JP31268296 1996-11-07 JPH10137322A 1998-05-26 SHICHI HIROYUKI; YOSHIDA TAKAO
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the excessive use of milk and nutritive agent, and provide a proper quantity of safe and sanitary milk preparing water by forming an artificial nipple mounting port on a body, and providing a disposal scale for precisely disposing an excess of milk preparing water. SOLUTION: A body is formed of a polypropylene blow-molded product, for example, which has a 250ml content and houses a milk preparing water 2 of the quantity in which the milk volume dissolved is subtracted from 200ml. The body 3 has a mounting port 4, and an artificial nipple 7 is mounted thereon through a ring cap 8. The milk preparing water 2 is a sterilized purified water of distilled water which is passed through a sterilizing filter and then charged through the mounting port 4 of the body 3. The mounting port 3 is sealed by a lid sealant 6 to watertightly house the milk preparing water 2 into the body 3. Such a milk preparing water 2 contains no protein or other allergens, is free from propagation of fungi or bacteria even by a long-term storage, and causes no problem in the application to an atopic patient. 165 Horizontal well treating method US12001955 2007-12-12 US07980299B1 2011-07-19 Matthew C. Manulik
Method of treating, especially, horizontally deviated wellbores where various treating solutions such as, acids, slurries, proppants, fracturing fluids, flushing fluids, or sealants are transferred into an annulus formed by a casing in the well and a working string. The working string has a seal member providing a sliding seal with the casing, a perforated nipple above the seal, and a check valve above the perforated nipple for preventing back flow through the working string to the surface. The working string has a seal element at the wellhead to avoid treating solutions leaking from the annulus out the wellhead. Treating solution of the desired make-up is pumped into the annulus, through the perforated nipple, down the working string, along the horizontal deviated wellbore, then into the strata or formation through a dispersing tool for the particular treating solution. The method provides a decrease in head loss, and if the working string uses a solid rod of lesser diameter than the remainder of the working string the head loss is further minimized. The apertures in the perforated nipple may be selected according to the requirements of the treating solution being pumped into the formation.

168 Hose connecting structure and hose joint JP2118290 1990-01-31 JPH03229092A 1991-10-11 MIYAMOTO KENJI
PURPOSE: To obviate a leak of fluid without using any sealant by forming a nipple ring groove, consisting of a nipple and a sleeve, into a trapezoidal groove form, which becomes expanded inward, and pressing a hose bitten into the trapezoidal groove to a groove wall, under pressure, by dint of caulking reaction of the sleeve. CONSTITUTION: In a hose joint, whose groove 1a at the tip side, among ring grooves 1a-1d on the outer circumference of a nipple 1, is flaring and formed into an inverse trapezoidal groove form in section, and the rest, 1b-1d, formed into trapezoidal groove form in inward expanding section, a hose 3 with elasticty is inserted into the nipple 1, a sleeve 2 is bitten into these ring grooves 1a-1b after caulking this sleeve 2, thus the hose 3 is connected. In these ring grooves, the section being expanded inward is formed into a trapezoidal form, and it comes to press an inner circumference of the bitten hose to a groove wall by dint of caulking reaction. In consequence, airtightness is improvable without using any sealant. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio

178 Drop dispensers US09671642 2000-09-28 US06565543B1 2003-05-20 John D. Buehler
A drop dispenser having a sleeve carrying a closure and resilient dosage receiving fitting. The sleeve is treadably mounted on a fluid containing container having a nipple thereon. The closure on the sleeve has a configuration corresponding to the configuration of the nipple for sealing the nipple in the closed position. The fitting is filled with fluid from the container by turning the sleeve in a direction away from the closed position on the nipple to an open position to thereby establish fluid communication between the container and fitting. The fluid is dispensed from the fitting by squeezing the fitting after the closure has been returned to the closed position on the nipple, thereby preventing fluid from flowing from the resilient fitting back into the container. Cooperating stop members are provided between the sleeve and bottle neck to limit the movement of the sleeve relative to the bottle neck.
