US07959551B2 Blood pump bearings with separated contact surfaces
Rotary hydrodynamic blood pumps have been used to treat over a thousand patients. US07959055B2 Wave soldering tank
In a wave soldering tank using a conventional screw pump, pulsation sometimes occurred in which molten solder spouting from the discharge nozzle moved up and down. The cause of the occurrence of the pulsation in a screw pump was that the gap between the screw pump and the casing was wide, so there was reverse flow through the gap. It is conceivable to narrow the gap, but if the gap is made narrow, the screw pump ends up contacting the casing if the screw pump becomes eccentric.A wave soldering tank according to the present invention makes the diameter of the inlet in the bottom of the casing smaller than the diameter of the screw pump so that reverse flow does not take place even if the gap between the screw pump and the casing is wide. Flow is made more stable by providing outwardly flaring guide walls on the outlet of the casing.

US07958957B2 Hybrid vehicle and control method thereof
A hybrid vehicle 20 sets a tentative limit value Win0 of determining a fuel increase relation with respect to a selected gearshift position SP for driving (S220, S230, S350), and performs increasing correction of a fuel injection amount according to either a first OT increase factor setting map or a second OT increase factor setting map that is enabled based on a relation of an input limit Win of the battery 50 to the tentative limit value Win0. Prohibition of fuel cutoff may be cancelled, based on a relation of the input limit Win to a driving force demand in an accelerator-off state set at the selected gearshift position SP. Even in this case, the increasing correction enables temperature regulation of an exhaust gas purification catalyst, with a view to controlling deterioration of the exhaust gas purification catalyst in an actual fuel cutoff condition after cancellation of the prohibition of the fuel cutoff. The deterioration of the exhaust gas purification catalyst is thus favorably controlled, irrespective of the selected gearshift position SP.

US07958954B2 Drill bits with enclosed slots
Core drill bits with long crown heights are described herein. The core drill bits have a series of slots or openings that are not located at the tip of the crown and are therefore enclosed in the body of the crown. US07958899B2 Substrate cleaning apparatus and substrate cleaning method
At a vibration applying position, ultrasonic vibration is applied upon a liquid film which is on a surface of a substrate. Concurrently with this, at a drop arrival position which is different from the vibration applying position, drops of a cleaning liquid are supplied to the liquid film, whereby wave-generating vibration which is different from the ultrasonic vibration is applied upon the liquid film. This dramatically improves removal of particles adhering to the surface of the substrate as compared with mere application of ultrasonic vibration. Hence, even when the output, the frequency and the like of the ultrasonic vibration are set to such an extent not damaging the substrate, it is possible to effectively remove particles with the wave-generating vibration and favorably clean the surface of the substrate.
