The device is also designed to output a signal for the erroneous pick-up from the erroneous pick-up detecting section while the leaf and the like are being picked up whenever the duration of the time that the leaf and the like interrupts light beam 24 between a projector and a light receiver 23 is found to be in excess of the specified duration of time.
