CONSTITUTION: In the wet oxidizing treatment of org. waste water containing a nitrate or nitrite ion, the raw waste water in a receiving tank 1 is crushed at first by a crusher 2 and subsequently sent to a storage tank 3 to be mixed and stirred under an anaerobic condition to advance denitrification. The treated liquid from which the greater part of NOx-N is removed is heated along with oxygen to be supplied to a wet oxidizing tower 5. As mentioned above, since waste water is subjected to biological dinitrification treatment before wet oxidizing treatment to remove NOx-N, T-N (total nitrogen) in treated water can be lowered. When a catalyst bed 6 is washed with nitric acid, the waste liquid thereof is once stored and subsequently injected in the receiving tank 1 continuously to be simultaneously treated.
