CONSTITUTION: The current of a power supply cord 3 is detected by a current detecting element 8 in a current detector 4 attached to the cord 3. The detected current is converted into an identification signal which specifies the type and the location of an electrical appliance by a signal producer 10 via an amplifier 9 and then discharged into a space in the form of an electromagnetic wave through an antenna 5 and via an oscillator 13, a modulator 12 and a high frequency amplifier 11. Then the signal is caught by a reception antenna 6 of a repeater 7 put into a power supply plug socket. A wave detector 16 demodulates once only the identificarion signal from a carrier wave via an RF amplifier 15. This demodulated signal is converted into a signal wave suited for superposition on the carrier wave oscillated from an oscillator 20 via a signal producer 17 and superposed again on the carrier wave through a modulator 18. This superposed signal is put on an electric lamp line by a coupler 21 and transmitted to a home controller set in another room.
