CONSTITUTION: A probe is immersed into the molten steel and a recovered gas is introduced 2. The greater part of the recovered gas is discharged by operating a needle valve 25 and is passed through a flow rate controller 4' to a selector valve 6. The air for the adsorbed gas is introduced from an air pump 3 through a dehumidifier 5 into a flow rate controller 4" and is mixed with the recovered gas. The gaseous mixture is sent to a measuring cell 8. The relation between the hydrogen concn. and the output signal quantity of the semiconductor gaseous hydrogen detector 9 is previously determined by the selection 6. The gaseous sample sent from a recovered gas introducing pipe 11 into the cell 8 passes the element 9 connected to a power source 10 by contact therewith and is discharged 12. The output signal of the element 9 after several seconds is subjected to the calculation of the integrated intensity of the detection peaks by a data processor 14 and the hydrogen concn. in the gas is determined from the relation between the standard gas and the output signal of the element 9. The online analysis in real time is thus executed by the processor 14.
